VR6/02J Complete Mount Kit - VW Corrado

The Fabless VR6/02J Complete Mount Kit is a full mount solution, providing an upgraded front cross member and all the mounts needed for a completely bolt in swap.

This kit will keep the 02A/02J transmission in OEM position to maintain stock axle fitment. These mounts are perfect for any VR6 swap (12v, 24v, 3.2L and 3.6L), or as a factory replacement/upgrade to Corrado VR6 engine mounts.

Our mounts are stronger and stiffer than the factory mounts while also providing some adjustability on the Block Mount. The block mount has two positions; factory height & up to a 16mm drop (16mm lower setting with Corrado/MK3 VR6 Subframe, 8mm drop with Corrado/MK2 G60 subframe selection). The lower setting on the mount is useful for additional hood clearance but it also helps to level out the engine appearance.

These mounts will have the typical VR lean on the top block mount setting and less lean on the lower setting.

Radiators

The MK3 VR6 Radiator is recommended in this application for additional cooling. The placement of the Tubular Front Cross Bar allows fitment for this larger radiator in the Corrado. However, Upper radiator tabs will need to be fabricated to secure the top of the radiator to the Corrado G60 or VR6 Upper Radiator Support.
