The Fabless Tubular Front Cross Bar MAX is the ultimate bolt-in upgrade for the factory MK3 Golf/Jetta front cross member. Redesigned for high-horsepower applications, it features larger structural tubing for increased strength and stiffness—while still weighing less than stock.

New curved uprights offer improved clearance for intercooler piping and easier routing under the hood. Removable and interchangeable radiator tabs allow for a wider range of radiator options, making cooling upgrades simple and flexible.

Designed with serious performance in mind, the MAX includes an integrated front engine mount to reduce engine movement and deliver more power to the wheels. The mount is included based on your selected engine and remains fully interchangeable to make engine or transmission changes easier.

The MAX also introduces three mounting positions for the front engine mount—drop the engine lower for more hood clearance, raise it for more ground clearance, or use the center hole to maintain factory engine height.

Slotted frame rail mounting holes and included washers ensure a smooth, precise installation.

* Additional hardware is needed in most 1.8T applications as the factory starter bolts are not long enough to bolt on the Front Engine Mount. We recommend the Front Engine Mount Hardware [Starter Bolts] - 1.8T Swaps for 1.8T engines.

Radiators
  • All factory VW MK3 radiators

The short and long sets of radiator mounts included with the MAX Bar, allow you to perfectly dial in your radiator fitment. Choose a square set up, factory or angle it any way you prefer. The rad tabs are removable to accommodate both North American and European MK3’s.

Fans

The included radiator tabs allow for fitment of the factory MK3 radiator and fan setup, so your OEM fans will bolt up without issue. For additional clearance or custom applications, we also offer an optional slim fan kit.
