The Fabless Tubular Front Cross Bar MAX for the MK4 is the ultimate bolt-in solution to reduce the strain on the factory Dog Bone Mount while also giving the MK4 a much-needed front Jack Point. The Tubular Front Cross Bar gives the MK4 a front structure similar to a MK2 or MK3, for added strength and stiffness.

Curved uprights offer clearance for intercooler piping and easier routing under the hood.

Designed with serious performance in mind, the MAX includes an integrated front engine mount to reduce engine movement and deliver more power to the wheels. And it reduces common issues with the dog-bone style factory engine support, by working alongside it for added strength. The front engine mount is included based on your selected engine and remains fully interchangeable to make engine or transmission swaps easier.

If you have 1" Motor Mount Spacers, select the option for the 1"Lift Plates for the Front Engine Mount to ensure fitment. This option adds the 1" Lift Plates to your order, meaning you will get the bar in the stock height with the 1" Lift Plates that can be swapped over.

The MK4 factory, does not have a jack point in the front of the car, and the MAX Bar solves this problem. The integrated front Jack Point provides an easy solution to jack up the front of your MK4 from a single point, allowing for quick tire changes and more.

Tabs are included on the bar to offer a mounting point for a skid plate. See compatibility section below for fitment notes.

Slotted frame rail mounting holes ensure a smooth and precise installation.

Radiator

The lower 45 degree rad hose fitting on the radiator needs to be replaced with the provided 90 degree rad hose fitting included, in order for the coolant hose to clear the bar. The lower rad hose also needs to be shortened by 1.5" before installing to the new 90 deg rad connection.

Intercooler

Compatible with most aftermarket front mount intercooler kits.

Skid Plate

The fitment of a skid plate, factory or aftermarket cannot be guaranteed. We provide mounting points on the bar for the purpose of mounting a skid plate and also offer a Skid Plate Mounting Kit (available separately), which can help to mount any skid plate. Keep in mind, we cannot guarantee fitment and also be prepared for some modification to get your skid plate to fit.
