VR6/02J Hidden Mount Kit (Weld In) - VW MK4

The Fabless VR6/02J Weld-In Hidden Mount Kit for the VW MK4 hides the mounts behind the engine and allows you to remove your factory mounts, including the dog bone mount, for a cleaner look. Perfect for a shaved engine bay set up.

The Tubular Front Cross Bar MAX for the MK4 is required to complete the hidden mount set up, as it provides the support to the front of the engine that is needed when the other two engine supports are moved to the back. The Tubular Front Cross Bar MAX has curved uprights for intercooler piping clearance and adds a front jack point!

Our mounts are stronger and stiffer than the factory mounts and use polyurethane bushings for more durability.

Does your engine need a 1" lift? Our kit comes with an option to raise the motor by 1". Be sure to select the 1" Lift option in the dropdown menu.

Made from HRPO steel, beautifully TIG Welded and coated with black powder coat for durability.

These mounts are OEM position, which means they don't alter the engine position.

Installation

The Weld-In perch perch mounts come in a gray weldable primer and they unbolt from the upper perch mount. 

To install the mounts, keep your factory MK4 mounts in place, and bolt the fully assembled Fabless block mount and transmission mount on. Where the weld-in perch mounts fall on the subframe, is where they need to be welded in place. Once the perch mounts are welded, that section of the mount can be unbolted so the rest of the mount can be removed.

From here you can paint the subframe and weld-in perch mount, install the rest of the Hidden Mount Kit and remove your factory mounts.
